These things definitely function to catch crappie, especially when used in combo with a crappie jig, such as a road runner or beetle spin, retrieved slowly using a float. You can be confident that, if you buy this product, and the crappie exist where you are fishing, and if they're biting, you will catch crappie, and maybe even some bluegill or smaller sized bass (I did).
This is nothing but tiny little dough balls. To little for your hooks and its to soft. I kept them cold but didn't help much. Can't cast and keep the bait on. The bait seems to wash off hook with water. They call that fish bait. . I was also using jigs and they caught fish. I left my 2 jars by boat ramp.
Bought some of these in mid March to see if it would improve the bite and it wasn't doing the trick while the water was only beginning to warm up. But as soon as the water warmed up I have had great success with these. I put 1 on a 1/8th or 1/4th ounce jig head with an action tail grub and it catches a lot of fish. The lakes I fish contain more bluegill than crappie so I tend to get a lot of bluegill. Over 75% of the time when I have a first cast catch it is when I am using Crappie Nibbles, I won't attempt to catch panfish without it!
