I have used the Strike king bleeding bug jig ever sense strike king put it out on the market,in all different weights. It is the only jig that I now use I have used this jig in canada, minnesota, florida and my home state of wisconsin and have used this jig on Pike, smallmouths and largmouth bass and also in the last two winters I have had very good luck using it ice fishing for pike and lake trout. This jig works well with many different type of trailers. This summer when I am not bass fishing I will be trying it on walleyes.Hope this info helps everyone get more fish on thier line and in thier box..
i bought this jig in the bleeding green crawfish color. i was fishing lake bastrop in tx during the winter. most people where catching 1-2 bass that were 2-3 lbs. well i used the green crawfish jig paired with a 3 inch chartreuse curly tailed grub as the trailer. i would cast out and either jerk and pause it back to the bank or just swim it back. i caught 5 bass w/ this method that morning. they were all in the 2-4 lb range. the 4 pounder broke my line (it had gotten wrapped around the tip and so was cut by the guides) and almost got away. but due to this being a pretty heavy jig and the bass being in the weeds and exhausted i was able to grab the line and pull the fish to the shore.
