Outkast Tackle Pro Swim Jig

Designed by Mississippi River bass pros, the Pro Swim Jig is unlike any other swim jig on the market. This jig has painted eyes that are clear-coated to provide a superior, durable finish. A true balanced head allows the jig to swim straight. The hook is a premium 30° Mustad that gives just the right amount of lift when using a swimming retrieve. And like all Outkast jigs, the double-barb keeper is standard. Per each.
Sizes: 1/8 oz., 1/4 oz., 3/8 oz.

Great jigs
Date:
These jigs are the first "swim jigs" I have tried, mostly for smallmouth in cover. These are very high quality jigs and are extremely weedless. The only negative is that they seem to attract a lot of pike as evidenced by the number of bite-offs I have! I find the Outkast jigs to be a great alternative to a plain jighead and grub for smallies and the right choice if you want to fish fast through cover swimming a grub.

Swim Jigs to the Rescue!
Date:
My first experience with the Outkast swim jig was last summer on a fishing outing on Lake Minnetonka. I was practicing for a local club tourney and saw most of the other anglers throwing spinnerbaits and crankbaits along the bank and major weed flats. I was patterning the same type of fish but wanted to throw a different presentation than the rest of the field. My answer..Swim Jigs!!! After only throwing a 1/4 oz Brown/Orange swim jig, teamed up with a brown single tail grub, for about an hour, I had already boated 10+ bass in between 2-4 lbs! The swim jig offered a presentation that helped me cover a lot of water and find the fish that were overlooked by the other anglers. The Pro Swim Jig preformed great, and what I liked most about it was the fact that I wasn't messing around with my grub all the time. The double barb keeper really held my grub on tight, which equals more fishing time! If your looking to add a new presentation to your bag of tricks, I strongly suggest giving a Pro Staff Swim Jig a try.
