since my cabela's store in reno quit stocking thompson barrels and parts--i have found ordering on line ok---the part itself is great for fitting barrels on my encore because i bought it with 50 cal barrel and that forend won't fit the contour of other barrels--it was easy to exchange forends between the 2

This item fits perfectly on the .308 standard barrel. Screws provided line up perfectly through the forearm into the holes in the barrel.

The forend is easy to install and it matches the stock that I had on my muzzle loader barrel. The 280 rem barrel put a three shot group just under 1 inch. Life is good!

Thompson/Center Encore Rifle Forend

I waited almost 5 months for my Bergara barrel to be delivered. When it finally arrived I attempted to mount the Encore Forend to the barrel, it didnt fit. The forend that was shipped did not fit the barrel as specified in the products description. You can see when the grip was made the mounting blocks werent evenly cut therefore displacing the grip from the barrel. As always Cabelas customer service is handling the problem. Just disappointed thats all.
