I used this flashlight mount to secure a Fenix TK 11 flashlight to a picatinny rail on my shotgun - a 12 gauge Mossberg 590A1. The Fenix was a good fit in the flashlight mount, and the mount seemed to fasten securely to the rail. I was able to pick up the shotgun by the flashlight mount and shake it without feeling it move at all. Then I tried to run some 2 3/4" rifled slugs through the gun. Two shots, and the flashlight mount fell off the rail. I mounted it again, and it felt very secure. Two more slugs and the flashlight mount fell off again. I remounted it a third time, and had the same results. I don't think the springs used to hold the flashlight mount in place can handle the recoil. It may stay in place on a firearm that has less recoil, but that's not what I need it for. I want a flashlight holder that will work on any of my guns, not just some of them.
