Pleasently supprised with this purchase. I was building a rifle to use in competition using the Ruger 10/22 platform. It groups tight out to 100 yards with Winchester T-22 ammo, about the size of a silver dollar. Well worth the money if you require accuracy and consistancy.
The tactical solutions 10/22 barrel is lightweight and my favorite competition barrel that i have i would recomend this barrel to any1 who is looking to lighten up their gun and gain accuracy and get a sleeker or more tactical look for their 10/22.
Read some of the posted reviews on this barrel before I decided to purchace and was a little concerned if this was the right barrel for my 10/22 project gun. Read how some had a difficult time trying to match the barrel to their reciever, how some had to heat the reciever and freeze the barrel, best advice I can tell you is read the directions.
Just a little work with some emory cloth and it went right in with just a little presure.
Very disappointed with this barrel. Shoots TERRIBLE groups at 25 yards with high quality target grade ammunition. Does better with high velocity ammunitions, but still not as good as the factory barrel. Has a standard chamber instead of target chamber. After only 500 rounds, am starting to see barrel wear at the chamber end from the steel bolt slamming into the aluminum surface surrounding the steel insert. You would be much better off just staying with the factory barrel or any number of after market alternatives.
