Hippy's Bleeder Chain Floating Rig

  • Wounded bait for hooking predatory fish
  • Blood chain mimics real blood droplets
  • Great for panfish, crappie, bluegill and walleye
Fish are opportunistic, and scientific studies have shown that they are more likely to attack a wounded baitfish than a healthy one. These bleeder baits emulate blood droplets coming off both sides of the rig, which mimics the way real bleeding occurs. Effective trolled or with bottom bouncers for deep walleye. They can also be fished beneath a bobber with a small split shot pinched about 18 inches up or so from the hook. Tip with your favorite bait. Per two.
Colors: (001)Chartreuse, (002)Orange (not shown), (003)Red, (004)Green, (005)Black, (006)Purple, (007)Black.

Great for Walleye!
Date:
Used this and other Hippy's rigs on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota. By the end of the first day, the others in the group were begging me for some to try! We caught 75% of our walleyes using them. Best luck was with the Firetiger Top Prop. Drifting with a 6' to 8' snell. I'm ordering more!

puts fish in the boat
Date:
Had a slow start of fishing on Lake Fransis Case. I had some of these in the boat tied one on. Boom started to catch fish with them right away. These should maybe only be used by a pro!

Great lure for walleye and perch.

The color seemed unimportant. Maybe we were just lucky. I felt like I had an edge. If you can't catch fish, slow down a little bit. Good job.

Hippy's Bleeder Chains
Date:
Used these at Lake Oahe on the weekend of July 10th, 2010. We caught fish on everything except these. We caught them on bare hooks in the morning and silver and gold in the afternoon. Another boat we were with used them in other areas of the lake and same results. Not a single fish on these. Even if the fish tried to bight on these the hooks are too dinky to land it.
