Lock it in the up position or leave it down; either way, the design allows enhanced visibility from your UTV. The low-profile metal hinge folds to rest the windshield on rubber bumpers mounted to the hood, keeping it as low as possible for maximum visibility. Rubber-coated metal mounting brackets and a powder-coated metal hinge add durability and resist vibration. Made of durable 3/16" polycarbonate plastic. Raise or lower without tools after initial installation. Mule series restricts access to hood storage. Trailerable at highway speeds. Made in USA. Available:
The product is of very good quality and installation is very simple. Took 2 of us 10 minutes. One thing you will want is a back window or something of that sort as the addition of a windshield causes fumes and dust to enter passenger area. Not the fault of the windshield so I'm not knocking it for that just providing an observation. If you have a Ranger this is a great addition.
This window does not fit a Mule 4010 Trans, as was advertised. There is no way to open the hood, as the bottom is fixed to the side bars. The top is unable to fold down as it is stopped by the roof overhang. The bottom needs to fold up for access to the hood. If the window is put on upside down, the window then folds up and you have access to the hood. But you have to put the window so high, so it fits under the roof overhang, that you have a 5" gap between the window and the hood, and you have the "L" of the window at the bottom. To transport the Mule, the instructions tell you that the top has to be folded down, so by turning it upside down I don't know if I'll be able to tow it. The widow is good quality, and probably would fit other ATVs
this is a great product! I have it on my 08 teryx and use it for work and play. it does scratch a litle easy. but I use this on the ranch and it seems to hold up great! I would highly recomend this windshield!
The windshield was easy to install. I probably spent about 30 minutes. The pipe clamps with bolts were hard to line up the holes on. I drilled a new hole next to the old holes on the clamps so the bolts would go straight through. Kind of a pain but not a big deal. The windshield is a big improvement on those cool days. The folding option is kind of nice if its a hot day.
