Scotland Hill StagSeptember 6 - 15, 2014
A Traditional Hunt in Scotland’s Revered Highlands
Hunt the majestic Scottish Highland Hill stag on 35,000 acres of open range, misty mountain heather. You can also test your golf skills on one of many courses in this area. At days end, you’ll relax in a classic Scottish hunting estate, warmed by a fi re and perhaps a wee dram of single malt, while you await the sumptuous creations of a superb Scottish chef. This is a chance for the hunter to sample a unique way of hunting. It’s a traditional hunt where the methods have changed very little. On a typical day the hunter, with his guide, will glass the hills and valleys looking for a good trophy, typically 8-points or more. Once the stag has been spotted, the stalk begins.
We have a car and driver at the disposal of the nonshooting guest. Their day would start at about 8.30 a.m. with breakfast. When the hunters have left for the day, which would be about 9.30 a.m. the nonhunters with their driver, would start hunting amongst Scotland’s fi nest woolen and cashmere mills and see crystal and glass blowing. There are centuries of history and castles to explore, and the magic and myths of the rugged, spectacular Scottish countryside to see. The touring side of your day would finish at about 4.30 p.m. when you return to the hunting lodge to be greeted by a warm welcoming fi re.
You owe this to yourself to experience the grandeur of Scotland.
