Identical to the PMag 30 with the addition of a transparent window on both sides for quick approximation of how many rounds remain in the magazine. 30-round capacity. Colors: Black, Flat Dark Earth.
Have used these Magpul magazines in various ar-15's and have never had a problem with them. Great for military/law enforcement work or home defense. The Maglevel window is a great reassurance to quickly check how much ammo you have and to make sure you have the right ammo loaded up. These magazines are as good if not better than standard US GI mags, and made better with the addition of Pmag Ranger plates.
Picked up one of these during a visit to my local Cabelas store. I was skeptical of plastic mags since I always used metal ones in the Army but I must say these are awesome. Feeds the rounds perfectly and they look cool. My M&P15T came with one standard (without the see thru window) and I needed another. I'll be happy once I have about 6 of these mags total so that I'm fully prepared for the zombie apocalypse. Plus they're Made in the USA.
I purchased two of these to try out in my AR15. Some people had told me that they sometimes are a little snug in comparison to the metal magazines, but at least in an Olympic Arms AR, this turned out to be completely false- it fits exactly like it should.
Something I immediately noticed when I took them to the range was that they are a bit easier to load without a stripper clip than the metal magazines. They're also substantially more durable- I have not tried this myself, but there is a video out there on the internet demonstrating how one of these can be run over by a Humvee and still function properly.
As long as you load the ammunition in properly, they will not misfeed. I had one issue when I had carelessly positioned my top bullet too far forward, and it jammed. The meter on the side is also very helpful for those that have trouble mentally keeping track of how many shots they have left. I strongly recommend buying these over the metal magazines any day.
