Excellent Low Cost Ammo

Bought a box of this ammo in .223, 55 grain, at my local Cabela's store to try in a Ruger Mini-14. After sighting in the iron sights at 50 yards, I began to consistently hit the center of a B27 target with many rounds hitting the X ring. I shot these off hand and therefore was not overly concerned about grouping. This ammo functioned flawlessly in the Ruger with no failures to feed or eject. I will certainly buy more of this ammo for practice and plinking and it's certainly recommended. I give 4 stars only due to the fact that I am not sure of the ammo's long range accuracy but for my purposes, long range accuracy did not come into play.

Rem UMC 223 accuracy

The ammo functions perfectly but the accuracy at 200 yard is not good. This ammo shoots 1" at 100 yards but 3 to 4" at 200 yards. This is a flat base bullet not a boat tail and therefore looses acurracy over 100 yards. Good ammo up to 100 yards for the price.

This ammo was all over the target at 100 yards with 16" barrel in Bushmaster. Switched to American Eagle and grouped at about an inch. Maybe my AR is finicky with this ammo but I won't shoot it again.
