Two pigs at 250 yards

On a great hunting trip on the back ranch at San Simion, I bagged two nice hogs using this round. I was told not to aim at the head or front side. Our guide said that the head was hard as granite and the hogs have a thick cartilage plate covering the lungs and heart. I sighted in on two hogs at approximately 200 to 250 yards out. I hit the first one in the head just behind the eye which removed the most of the scull on the opposite side. The second hog fell instantly with a shot through the lungs and heart right through the cartilage armor plate. The round went all the way through an out the other side. This may be a bit too much gun for hogs, but the federal ammo has real stopping power.

Accuracy and knock down power

I achieved a three-quarter inch group at 100 yds with the 250 grain bullet - which I was told Winchester is bring back in '08. I have taken four elk so far with optimum performance - all one shot kills. Only able to recover one bullet and found it to be intact - no separation.

knockdown power

I shot a 350 class 7X8 bull with these bullets. The Nosler Accubond provided good penetration with plenty knockdown. The bullet went clean through and didnt separtate like other polymer tip bullets. For a Factory Load, these are as good as it gets.
