Still the best
Date:
Solid aluminum arrows still offer the best accuracy, best price and are much more consistent than carbon. For me its a no brainer.

Best all-around shaft
Date:
I first used these shafts in the early 90s with a wood recurve bow.
I have used nearly every brand of carbon shaft with varied results. Even though I found the carbon shafts to be lighter and faster (initially) out of the bow (new compound rated @ 320 fps), I found the carbon arrows to lose too much speed "down range". My experience has been that the lighter carbon shafts are too unstable at the speeds offered on our new compound bows.
I have found that the heavier aluminum arrows keep more of their down range accuracy, even though they aren't as fast out the bow. Their extra weight provides more stability at those higher speeds.
The added benefits are that my bow is much quieter because of the added weight of the arrow, I can now shoot a much smaller group because the aluminum shafts are SO much straighter, and because of the increased mass, they offer FAR better penetration than any carbon shafting I have tried.
With these shafts I feel confident I can harvest any animal from grouse to Roosevelt elk, or even a moose if I get the chance.

Easton XX75 Arrows
Date:
I received these arrows in excellent condition. The price for these are great. I ordered 2413 aluminum XX75 Easton arrows and fletched them with feathers. The feathers hang tight to the aluminum and the arrows shoot great for me. Thanks to Cabela's for the quick delivery!!

Quality product.
Date:
I have used Easton aluminum arrows / shafts for years. I prefer them to the newer carbon type shafts for the following reasons: Aluminum is easier to cut off and work with without having to buy a special high speed cut off saw. Hot melt glue is far easier to use and re-heat to either remove an insert or rotate it to tune your broadhead. The permenant epoxy glue of the carbon arrows prohibits this. Aluminum is WAY easier to pull out of a broadhead foam type target than carbon. Flething glues directly to aluminum better than carbon. There is no need to wrap an aluminum shaft just to glue fletching on. Aluminum arrows are genrally straighter than carbon arrows My carbon arrows sit in a box. I will take aluminum arrows any day. They may be a little slower than carbon, but they more than make up for it in ease of use.
