I have got this rifle a few months ago and like the rifle but hate the scope. Like most combo units the scopes are cheap. I just bought a bushnell 3X9X40 to replace it. Note Bushnell is rated for air rifles and can withstand the double recoil that tears other scopes apart. Plus most bushnell scope can be used at close range unlike other shookproof scopes. The banner or trophey series will work great for this gun. Leupold and burris scopes can be used on air rifles as well but don't have the close range like Bushnell. With this said Bushnell is the first choice by me. All 3 brands Bushnell, Leupold and burris will work with air rifles all other brands may or maynot hold up to the double recoil. Do your research before buying a scope or using one that you may have.
The gun shoots well and is recomended using a high quality pellets 10grains or heavier. I have a quater size pattern at 25 yards and about 2 inches at 50 yards. Cabelas ultra magnum work well but are very dirty so cleaning maybe needed every 100 shots or so. If you use lighter or cheap pellets you will see a bigger pattern or stray shots. Even with a 10.5 grain pellet it will shoot over 1000fps and hit harder for a better kill in hunt..
The gun shoots loud like about a 22LR. also has a strong recoil because of the heavy spring.
I hope this helps. For more info see the form sites.
