Do not buy this toy
Date:
I bought this rifle on the basis of the Ruger name and the appearance. Do not be fooled. Like others have commented, the scope rattled itself lose after about 20 shots. I put it back together more carefully and it did it again after 10 shots. The scope just flew off! The cheap mounts were mangled so I bought some more expensive ones. They too could not withstand the severe shock. I finally ordered a full length set of mounts online and that has taken care of the scope flying off, but I still cannot fine tune the scope so that it is in focus and only has one set of reticles.
At this point I don't know if it is the scope or the gun, but it the groupings I get at 25 yards are more like a pistol than a rifle. Save your money!

Horrible, DO NOT BUY
Date:
I purchased this weapon and put the scope on the DOVETAIL MOUNTS shot it 5 times and the front scope mount came loose. Put it back on thinking maybe i did not tighten it enough. Then tightened as much as i could and shot it again. After the 7th shot, the scope flew off of the weapon. DO NOT BUY with DOVETAIL SCOPE MOUNTS!!!!!!

its Alright
Date:
I got this gun and started shootig that day. The scope isnt good cuz it gets off if u bump t, and it takes a LONG TIME. Also, i didnt shoot it that much, yet i was shooting and every few shots it discharged with out the trigger pulled and with the safety on. I thought it was just me being dumb and pulling the trigger. Once it shot towards my neighbors house, another time the barrel was broken and it flew up. Then it did it again while i was lifting the gun to aim. I am in the process of getting ruger to help me with this problem. Lastly, the finish comes off easy. Other than tht it is a fair gun.........
