This gun is the American classic of pellet rifles. American Hardwood stock gives this rifle the heft and
balance of a full sized firearm, and the classic lines make any shooter proud to own it. In addition to
being good looking, this gun is accurate and powerful. Each pump generates roughly 80 fps, to a
maximum of 700 fps. The .20 caliber bore diameter is often overlooked, but plenty of pneumatic
connoisseurs will argue that it is the best combination of flat trajectory and energy. Blued barrel.
Weight: 6 lbs. Length: 36-1/2".
First off... out of the box the fit was a bit off... yet not a huge issue... the pumping action is harder than it looks... for this old guy... yet the acuracy is worth the hassel of pumping... recomended no less than 3 pumps and no more that 8 pumps I find 5 to be enough for my needs. The sites leave a bit to be disired yet what do you expect? for the price it's a great rifle...it all depends on what you want to do with your pellet gun... to how expencive you may need to go... I recommend RWS pellets they seem to work fine... Happy shooting..
Bought mine back in the early 70s. Don't really know how many shots fired but used it alot. Just now have a problem with the air cylinder not pumping up properly. At 30 some years old I think think I got my moneys worth out of it. It,s been a great gun. I,m going to buy a nother one to take its place.Mine was made in Racine Wisconsin. Don.t really know where the new ones come from, only hope they have the same quality as the old ones.
I had bought my Sheridan CB-9 in (.20) cal back in 1991 and used it hundreds of times with minimal maintenance. Can't beat the corrosion resistant barrel. The rifle is very accurate. Just try to keep it under 8 pumps.
I bought my Sheridan Blue Streak in 1974 and have put over 10,000 rounds through it. It has NEVER failed, and has maintained 95% compression even after 36 years. The only wear & tear has been to my left arm . . . but I used to pump it 8 times with my right arm in a cast at 13 years old! The Scope issue is easily overcome with a customized piece of foam outdoor pipe insulation -- a scope snuggie,. Provided Benjamin is upholding Sheridan's standards & specs, I would recommend this rifle hands down.
