Excellent value
Date:
I purchased this weapon for a specific purpose:
RAT MODULATION! It has served well. Traps were
ineffective and our cat, whom I've renamed "Philby"
has gone over to the other side because he hates
the new dog. We live on a lagoon and the rats obtain
food from the docks no matter what measures were
taken. Traps ineffective. I chose the .22 as it has a
much better reputation for hunting. The .177 is good
for Shooting Horseflies and maybe gophers. The point
and shoot ergos' are excellent for a gun of this type
All rats were shot in this way although a mercy shot
was administered by sights once. Rats are several
times as powerful, ounce for ounce than a Cape Buffalo! It has taken more than one shot to kill all
seven They often shift just before the trigger is pulled as well. At 600 fps. the pellet goes through the rat and have some velocity left. Blood trails usfl.
The gun itself is a good value product. While it is
not as accurate as a Euro target pistol, it is but a fraction of the price. The piston, barrel and chamber/mount are ordinance steel. The hinge and
pivot are like 8 and 6 gauge sheet steel. the stock
is a modern plastic and the grip is designed with the forementioned excellent ergos'. It is made in
Turkey and the quality is about like good Taiwanese (Which is good!) Not as posh as a Euro
gun but who's got $1,500 for an air gun now?
Three cheers for Browning for putting out another
high value Buckmark product!!!

Awsome Pellet Gun
Date:
Awsome Pellet Gun, Great power from a pistol, not for a kid - takes a little strength to cock but worth it. Shoots straight, If you can't hit the target at 60 ' it's YOU not the gun. At 60' it still shoots THROUGH a 5'8" piece of plywood. Very nice Fire-Sights too.

Browning 800 Express Air Pistol Excellent
Date:
This is my first air pistol. It is very accurate and powerful. The .177 pellet goes completely through a 5/8' pine board at 3 feet, and the pellet is fully countersunk at 25 to 45 feet . I can hit a 4 inch target 100% of the time at 25 and 30 feet. At 45 feet I hit about 60%. It does take considerable effort to cock the barrel. I would not reccomend this for young people or small women due to the cocking effort. It is also large enough that for me it must be held in 2 hands to shoot. I highly reccommend this air pistol.

Junk 11/2 yrs and its wore out
Date:
Never shot great, Tried everything. Just ordered a new scope and it would not dial in. Shooting low at 20 yards. No adjustment left on the scope. I sent it back as defective. New scope was the same way. I am a retired toolmaker and I started to check out the pistol. I found the Barrel latch is wore out. The hole where it is located is wore real bad even with lots of grease in it. It will not close the same way every time. I am calling umarex later to see how much for parts.
I will not buy another. Stan
