dissatisified
Date:
cabelas advertises rifle in .22 to shoot 1100 fps. Tag on rifle says 1000 fps. My crony in 5, 10 shot strings average 836 fps. Not a real big deal, but would like to see what is advertised. Then at 248 rounds fired, a small spring fell out around the cocking lever and would not cock. It would start to cock, then slip on pass and go to the close position without cocking the rifle. No problems from cabelas, they are always good to deal with. Sent back to cabelas for refund. Its a very nice looking rifle, was fun to shoot and nice scope, but at nearly 700.00 bucks, I exspected perfection, espesially coming from Germany.

accuracy meets raw power, and the 460 was born!
Date:
This is one hard-hitting air rifle, consistently shoots @ 830fps with .22 cal 14.3gr Crossman Premiers.
And the accuracy is astounding considering this is most definitely one of the most powerful springer magnums out.
Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for fine German craftsmanship coupled with accurate raw power!

Magnum 460

I have owned this rifle for (3) years now and for the first (2) years the cocking mechanism has broken. I returned it twice so far to Arizona spending 80.00 in shipping costs. At present the cocking level does not lock into place so I'm using a rubber band to hold it in the locking position. Very disappointing, as far as accuracy and hitting power it is magnificent.

RWS 460
Date:
I bought this almost two years ago and thought I researched it thoroughly before making the purchase. I put a 44 millimeter scope on it, and wiped out the citrus rats on our property. It is very accurate. You can cut the holes when punching paper. I have one gripe that separates me from giving them a 5 star and tempts me to give it a one. I pulled the rifle out of the closet a few weeks back to fire it and after two shots the cocking system broke. There is a small pin that the cocking lever presses against just under the chamber, and it broke. So the cocking level just swings freely and, having nothing to hinge against, it will not cock. So, I called Umarex and shipped it back. It cost me 50 bucks to ship it and I recall 35 bucks to pay them to ship it back. It was under warranty. They were very nice, backordered the part, and today I received it back. I remounted the scope, shot 4 pellets out of it and it broke again...exactly the same scenario. So, I am a little baffled and not excited about spending another 85 dollars for UPS round trip to Arizona. I cannot find any reference on the internet to others having such a problem, so maybe this is a fluke. But I do benefit a lot from the reviews that others take the time to write, so I hope this helps anyone in the market. I will follow up after the second round of repairs and let you know what happens.
It is a beautiful gun, and it is very accurate and powerful when it works, but reliability for me has not been good. I would be more than willing to forgive if they can fix it. It is a very nice gun and loads of fun, if it were just more reliable.
