Works very well. My worms last for weeks and are good and fresh for the hook. Follow the directions and you won't have a problem. Paul in Pine Grove California
I have developed a pretty large mulch pile with the leaves from the 109 oak trees on my 1 acre lot over the years. I had good luck in creating a very large night crawler population until some moles arrived on the scene. However, this last year the introduction of some friendly black snakes has kept the mole population to a minimum. With the approaching summer and a promising fishing vacation in the Finger Lakes of Central New York I needed a worm box that could stand the trauma of a days digging and the 305 mile 7 hour trip in the pickup. I used frozen ice packs wraped in a newspaper inside the top of the Frabill Box. The worms made the trip spectacularly as well as a whole week of fishing with the grand kids. Man can they use up the worms. Started breaking them in two. Anyway, we caught lots of perch, sun fish, rockies and a couple to 5 lb black bass. I highly recommend the Frabill Box for keeping your worms fresh and friendly.
